Kolkata, 25th September 2025: On the eve of its much-awaited release, the Hon’ble Chief Minister has extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the entire cast and crew of Devi Chowdhurani. The message has added a wave of excitement and encouragement for the team as they prepare to bring this historic saga to audiences across the country.
Directed by Subhrajit Mitra, Devi Chowdhurani is based on Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s iconic novel, tracing the extraordinary journey of Prafulla, who transforms into the legendary rebel leader Devi Chowdhurani during the 18th-century Sannyasi-Fakir Rebellion.
The film features Prosenjit Chatterjee as Bhavani Charan Pathak and Srabanti Chatterjee in the titular role, along with stellar performances by Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Arjun Chakrabarty, Kinjal Nanda, Bibriti Chatterjee and Darshana Banik.
With the Chief Minister’s good wishes resonating strongly, Devi Chowdhurani is set for its nationwide theatrical release tomorrow, 26th September, 2025.
