Kolkata, 20th September: The much-anticipated “জলযাত্রা” of Team Devi Chowdhurani was held with great enthusiasm and overwhelming participation, marking a memorable celebration for the city.
The journey began at Millennium Park (Gate No. 1) as the majestic Bojra set sail, symbolizing the spirit of Bengal’s cultural heritage. The vibrant procession reached Ahiritola Ghat, where the beats of Dhak added a unique and powerful rhythm to the celebration.
After reaching Ahiritola Ghat, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Srabanti Chatterjee, and Bibriti Chatterjee led a spectacular rally in unhooded jeeps, receiving warm cheers from the crowd as they moved towards the Pujo Mandap.
The event culminated at the Mandap, where the team of Devi Chowdhurani was warmly welcomed amid applause, festivities, and cultural fervor. The overwhelming response from the people turned the event into a historic moment, creating a festive atmosphere across the ghats of Kolkata.
