On the auspicious occasion of Mahalaya, the much-awaited grand “জয় ভৈরবী যাত্রা” of Devi Chowdhurani was celebrated today from Kendua Shanti Shangha Puja Mandap to Patuli from 6 PM onwards.
The vibrant rally stretched all the way up to Patuli, capturing the festive spirit in its truest form. The procession featured traditional elements such as palki, stick games, Chhau dance, and young girls carrying moshal (torches)—all of which evoked the timeless cultural heritage of Bengal. The entire celebration was designed to preserve and showcase the traditional vibe while welcoming the festive season with grandeur.
This unique event marked the beginning of Devi Pokkho, blending devotion, artistry, and heritage in a spectacular way, and setting the tone for the festive days ahead.
