Kolkata, August 25, 2026: Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT), a JIS Group Educational Initiative, hosted Pravesh Utsav 2026, its First Year Students’ Orientation Programme, at the Dhano Dhanyo Auditorium, Kolkata, welcoming the new batch of students and marking the beginning of their academic journey with inspiration, exposure and opportunities for holistic development.
The programme was graced by an eminent gathering of personalities from the fields of cinema, music and education. The distinguished guests included Jeet, Indian actor, Film Producer and Television Presenter; Mr. Rupankar Bagchi, Playback Singer and Music Composer; Mr. Santanu Moitra, Music Director, Score Composer and Musician, who joined the programme virtually; Sardar Amrik Singh, Deputy Managing Director, JIS Group; Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group; Mr. Bidyut Majumder, Deputy Director, Business Development, JIS Group and Prof. (Dr.) Swarup Kumar Mitra, Principal, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology.
