Kolkata, June 21, 2026: Desun Hospital celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 with a special yoga session for its doctors, nurses, administrative personnel, and support staff, reaffirming its commitment to fostering wellness, preventive healthcare, and healthy ageing.

Held within the hospital premises, the session witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees across departments who came together to practice yoga asanas, breathing exercises, and mindfulness techniques under the guidance of trained instructors. This year’s International Yoga Day theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, emphasises the role of yoga in helping individuals maintain physical fitness, mental agility, emotional balance, and overall quality of life as they grow older. Regular yoga practice has been shown to improve flexibility, strength, posture, cardiovascular health, stress management, and mobility, whcidh are key factors contributing to healthy ageing.
