Kolkata, 26th June 2026: Desun Hospital, in association with ISAR Bengal, organised a National-Level Master Class on Hysteroscopy on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Desun Hospital, Kolkata, as part of the prestigious East India Fertility Conclave, INSPIRE 2026. The live Continuing Medical Education (CME) workshop brought together leading gynaecologists, fertility specialists, healthcare professionals and postgraduate trainees from across the country to enhance clinical expertise in modern gynaecological and reproductive healthcare through live surgical demonstrations, hands-on learning, and interactive academic sessions.
The educational initiative was designed to strengthen knowledge and practical skills in hysteroscopy, one of the most significant diagnostic and therapeutic tools in contemporary gynaecology. By combining theoretical understanding with real-time clinical application, the workshop aimed to improve patient outcomes, advance reproductive care, and promote minimally invasive treatment approaches in women’s healthcare. The Master Class was led by Convenors Dr. Ayan Mukhopadhyay, Consultant Gynaecologist, Desun Hospital, and Dr. Monika Kumari, Consultant Gynaecologist & IVF Specialist, Desun Hospital where medical professionals from various institutions and healthcare centres across Bengal and India participated.
A key highlight of the programme was the live procedure sessions, which provided participants with an opportunity to observe advanced hysteroscopic procedures and surgical decision-making in real time. The demonstrations covered important procedures, including diagnostic saline vaginoscopy and hysteroscopy, septum resection, submucous fibroid resection, and cornual cannulation, subject to case availability. The sessions also focused on complication management strategies and best practices in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.

The workshop featured an eminent panel of national faculty members, including Dr. Manas Datta, Dr. Sanjoy Biswas, Dr. Arunashish Mallick, and Dr. Alok De, who shared their expertise and clinical insights with attendees.
